Thor-Christian Ebbesvik can look back at a great season in the Le Mans Series, and now he's hoping for more in 2011.
Thor-Christian Ebbesvik gave up his dream about Formula 1 before this season, and focused on sportscar racing instead. That was a good move for the 26 year old Norwegian, who has impressed in his first season in the Le Mans Series.
He signed up with Team Bruichladdich in the LMP2-class together with Karim Ojjeh and Tim Greaves, and already in his first race at Paul Ricars, TC was among the fastest LMP2-drivers on the track.
TC was also fast at Spa some weeks later, but there he got hit by another car and broke his back.
-It was a shame because I missed the 24 hour of Le Mans. But I'm hoping to race at Le Mans in 2011, TC says.
After some weeks away TC was again very fast when Team Bruichladdich finished second in Portimao, fifth at Hungaroring and eleventh at Silverstone (after a spin). The Norwegian was among the fastest LMP2-drivers in each of the races, and impressed a lot of people.
-We finished fifth in the standings, and that's OK. And I'm very happy with my own speed. I feel at home in sportscar racing, and I'm sure that my future lies in this cathegory. Now I'm working towards next season, but I don't know yet where I'm going to drive. But first I will thank all my supporters and sponsors for a great season in 2011!
